Learn how to free yourself from anxieties with these 8 easy steps

Updated: Jan 22, 2023

Anxiety is one of those emotions that so many people struggle with. It is heavy and it feels very real. If we are not careful we can re-create this feeling over and over again, until it gains so much momentum, that it feels as if you have no control over your reality. But it doesn't have to be that way. Each of us has the ability to choose how we want to feel - NOW. We are powerful creators and we create with our thoughts, and our feelings are indicators of how we are focusing on. Each thought is like a powerful magnet like thoughts attract like thoughts if you will. There are several ways to deal with anxiety. My favorite way to slow down the momentum of those thoughts and feelings is the first thing in the morning. You see, when w sleep all momentum subsides, leaving us with a fresh new start as we wake up. We have a small window to choose better feeling thoughts upon our awakening before old momentum picks up. The law of attraction always gives us more of what we have been thinking about. So here are some of my favorite ways to stop the momentum of anxiety:

1. Meditate first thing in the morning for about 15 minutes. Clear your mind of any thoughts.

2. As soon as you wake up to stay in bed for a few minutes and find things to appreciate. Such as your pillow, your comfy bed, your breathing, your body, etc.

3. Plan ahead for what would assist you when you feel triggered. Such as soothing music, inspiring books, inspiring quotes, etc.

4. When anxious feeling thought start to pop up count till 100 to stop the momentum.

5. Change the subject in your thoughts by going general. For example, I like the blue sky; I like fluffy clouds; I like the beach; I like how the beach smells; I like the color of the sea. Anything that gives you soothing.

6. When you feel triggered take some time alone to soothe yourself.

7. When you feel happy to talk about how you want to feel instead.

8. Look for things to appreciate throughout your day.
